Tempered Glass

For certain applications, glass is heated in a tempering furnace that improves the overall strength of glass 3-5 times greater than annealed glass. Commonly used for a wide variety of applications from retail displays and glass shelves to door inserts and restaurant booth dividers.

D&W tempers to ASTM standards and can serve both projects-based and ongoing needs.

Safety Backing

Applied to the mirror backing after fabrication, D&W offers safety backed mirrors that meet ANSI code Z97.1. In the event of a break, the shattered mirrors pieces will remain adhered to the tape backing and greatly reduce risk to its surroundings.

Available in Category I and Category II safety options.

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is created by bonding layers of glass with a strong interlayer for added safety and durability. Commonly used in glass railing, office partitions and skylights, it provides protection where strength and security are essential. If broken, the interlayer holds shards in place, reducing injury risk and maintaining a protective barrier.

D&W offers laminated solutions for both safety requirements or decorative interlayer requests.
